Since its establishment until now, HW&P has been directly involved in all aspects of activities in the mining sector, starting from the stages of general investigation, exploration, feasibility studies, construction, mining, processing and refining, transportation and sales, to post-mining activities.

This involvement is in order to map problems, analyze, provide legal opinions and resolve legal issues encountered in every mining activity. Most HW&P clients are engaged in coal, gold, nickel, iron ore, zircon and quartz mining.

HW&P can also assist in the establishment and management of new mining business permits (coal, gold, bauxite, tin), permits for the establishment of mineral smelters (bauxite, nickel, gold) and provide ongoing legal advice on all aspects of the operational activities of these companies, including issues mining permits, land rights and their release, permits for borrow-to-use forest areas (IPPKH), labor issues, taxes and royalties, the environment, post-mining activities and reclamation and other issues.

Other than this, HW&P can also act on behalf of mining companies as debtors in the context of credit applications and debt restructuring at banks/other financial service providers.

HW&P has helped many PMDN or PMA companies (China, Polandia, Malaysia) which invested hundreds of millions of US dollars in the processing of coal and mineral mining business permits (gold, bauxite, nickel) from the exploration stage to production operations, including helped land acquisition for mining operational purposes and negotiating with the surrounding commnity;
HW&P has assisted several mining companies in obtaining Borrow-to-use Permits for Forest areas or an electricity supply company whose business area is within a production forest area or a protection forest;
HW&P has several times assisted in obtaining permits for the construction of mineral smelters (bauxite, nickel, gold) located in several districts in West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan and Maluku, including assisting in land acquisition for smelter operational purposes;
On several occasions HW&P has also provided consultations and even been directly involved in post-mining activities and reclamation and settlement of disputes between mining company site management and the surronding community;
HW&P has assisted several mining companies in applying for credit and debt restructuring at other banks/financial service providers with a value of hundreds of millions of US dollars;
